A website is not a commodity.

It is a collection of skills.

To the lay person, the above statement may not be apparent and many first websites are bought from a stance of ignorance. It's not until they've had a site for some time, that the business realises there might be a better way. That's where my company, Web-Wright OBC, steps in and makes the site earn its keep!

It's not a picture to be hung in gallery

It is so easy to buy a website on good graphic design. Your website shouldn't be ugly, but neither should it be purely a work of art.

It's not a technical job

It is a fallacy to think of a website as an IT issue. It is not. If only a programmer is involved, it will not communicate. If you've ever tried to read a users manual for anything technical you'll know just what I mean!

It's a communications tool

Whether it just says what timie your shop or office is open, or it provides a lot of support information, interactivity and a shop, the prime purpose of a website is to communicate.

What is special about Web-Wright?

It's an award-winning company which, under my direction, focuses on the subtler, business communication issues. It's our approach that leads us to winning business. It makes sense and it works. We don't ignore graphic design and technical skills; we excel at those. But they are secondary to making a website a business tool.

What sort of websites do they do?

Every sort. Simple brochure sites through to online shops and databases, web applications. All are built with the same care and customer focus.

Do they do new sites?

Yes they do. And they do these with same care as the refurbished sites. Web-wright don't want their customers thinking in 6 months time that the website hasn't worked.

What about marketing?

Indeed! There's no point in having the best web site in the world if nobody visits it. Online marketing is becoming increasingly important as the usage of the internet increases. Most people choose Search Engine Optimisation as the first method of marketing, which is sensible. But don't forget that there are other forms of online marketing. Like Pay Per Click (PPC) search engines, banner ads and so on. My interest, experience and training in computer and communications technology and marketing have fuelled my interest in this area.
